Featured Bands Of The Month

Crazy Fox:

Aka Sean Raasch (of Jackraasch which at the moment is on hiatus) has a solo project and it's pretty dang good! He just released an EP (The Goodnight EP) and an album (Swampy Tonk Blues) on Itunes. The Goodnight EP is my favorite. It's mellow, much more mellow than the tunes of Jackraasch but the vocals are beautiful and compliment the acoustics so well. Swampy Tonk Blues is really really good also and a bit more up beat and bluesier (hence the album title).

Nerves Junior:

I was browsing around on bandcamp and heard their song "As Bright As Your Nightlight" (the name of the album as well) and was completely blown away. The song starts out with this funky keyboard and then changes and adds this crazy drum beat. I ended up listening to the entire album and then just buying it and playing it in my car over and over. I've put a few songs up on the site so far. They take electronic indie to a new level.

Mighty Moon:

A indie duo from NY! This duo consists of Leah and Jay. Jay was in a band called Daylight's For The Birds and this is Leah's first band. They have a new EP out called Breezes. They love The Beatles and Leah says they "seek to cause swoons". That won't be difficult. Just listen.

Apparat:

I got "Ash/Black Veil" On an Under The Radar sampler playlist and it was by far my favorite song on the sampler. Apparat has a soft electronic sound unmatched by any other electronic band I've heard. They've started to get some attention from big companies such as Under The Radar and Itunes. They just released their album on 9/23/11 Apparat has an unbelievable sound.
